We tried many samples of palo azul tea and we decided to choose one of the few suppliers that is USDA Organic Certified because we believe that organic agriculture is better for the environment, the farmers, and our health. Our mission is to share palo azul tea with others because we know millions of people would love this tea just as we do, so before we started doing this…we wanted to ensure that we would be sharing the best quality palo azul we could find.

In summary, the studies show that organic foods are better because they have no pesticides, less heavy metals, more antioxidants and they're also better for farmers, the environment, and the sustainable agriculture of plants!

Rainforest Alliance
In order to share palo azul with millions of people, we also knew that a regenerative agriculture approach would be necessary in order to promote this plant's propagation in a way that is sustainable for the surrounding environment and the farmers. Fortunately, our supplier is also Rainforest Alliance Certified, which means that they practice sustainable agriculture and they're constantly planting palo azul trees.
According to the Rainforest Alliance, “sustainable agriculture is about meeting the needs of the present, without sacrificing those of tomorrow—it’s farming that is environmentally sound, socially responsible, and profitable for farmers. Sustainable agriculture strives for the best long-term outcomes for forests, climate stability, human rights, and livelihoods.”
Their mission is similar to the Fair Trade program, but as they describe in their article, “The Rainforest Alliance’s mission is to create a more sustainable world by using social and market forces to protect nature and improve the lives of farmers and forest communities. Our approach is holistic and focuses on helping farmers grow their businesses and become more profitable and resilient through training in farm management, financial literacy, and market access.”

100% Biodegradable Tea Bags
Most tea bags are made from plastic, paper, or nylon…which is unfortunate because none of these materials are biodegradable and can therefore pollute the environment and contaminate the soil in which our food grows. Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) Packaging
Instead of using recyclable material, all our new product packaging is made from post-consumer recycled materials, which means that our pouches have already made their impact by being made from a repurposed material. After certain recyclable plastic materials are recycled by consumers, they are diverted from landfills and they’re converted into usable PCR films which can be made into pouches. So by purchasing these PCR pouches, we can all help positively impact the environment with little effort.
Digitally printed
Additionally, our pouches are digitally printed… which is more sustainable, using less energy, creating less waste, and producing a smaller carbon footprint than conventional printing.
